The Poem as Picture - and Vice Versa



To complicate matters, and for the pleasure of experimentation, I combined some of the 54 concrete poems in Deutsche Gedichte with some of the abstract "light-sculpture" illustrations.

This series of forced marriages of sense and non-sense both satisfied my curiosity and produced some startling and unanticipated results. Twenty of these picture-poems were published as a boxed set of prints on transparent sheets - to add to the confusion? - and accompanied by a CD of the artist reading and/or interpreting the poems.
